23ss COLLECTION
Inspired by a psychedelic experience with a poisonous mushroom similar to LSD, the project "tropical disco" explores the visual and sensory effects through three stages. Stage one, characterized by kaleidoscopic visuals and melting sensations, features laser-cut samples with fluorescent fabric and liquid latex experiments. Stage two introduces tactile sensations and abstract spatial perceptions, depicted through laser-cut mesh fabric and dot patterns. In the final stage, marked by hyperactive thoughts and exaggerated emotions, the focus shifts to representing mental sparks and dizzying patterns with plastic zip ties, reflective fabric, and metallic cutouts. The chosen fabric palette includes shades of green, blue, purple, and pink, along with fluorescent materials to enhance the psychedelic ambiance.
ss22 COLLECTION
This project, an extension of the "Circus" collection, shifts focus from circus patterns to exploring geometric shapes observed within the circus environment. Researching artworks and structural costume elements, the designer opted for a 3D look, employing sharp shapes and clean edges in garments to create a sense of space. Stiff fabrics were used to manipulate into pleats, ruffles, weaves, and experiments with geometric shapes and lines, enhancing the three-dimensional aesthetic of the collection.
